Are you confident? the main reason people don't get respect is they don't have confidence in themselves. Do you do what they say, are you always listening to what they say and feel you have no voice. This is harsh but the only reason your spouse is not giving you respect is because your letting them do that to you. Find yourself. Sit alone and think about what life would be like if they did respect you, how it would make you feel. I don't know the exact circumstances your relationship is in but if you feel you might need more help get it. I did. Now i stand up and be counted. I say what i have to say and i make people listen.
