Some breeds of dogs have stronger odors than others (especially males.) It's because their coat is oily and if not bathed enough their fur begins to smell. If an owner allows their dogs to wander they can often run in packs (generally males) and come home smelling like a skunk! Dogs should be bathed once to twice a month during summer. I use an oatmeal shampoo (nice smell to it) which makes the skin healthy and the coat shiny. I don't always use a blow dryer on my smaller dogs and let them air dry because blow drying can cause dry skin. In winter months dogs should be bathed (depending whether they are hunting dogs, outdoor dogs or a family indoor pet) once a month to every 2 - 3 months, but please keep the dog inside to keep warm and dry off well. As far as doggie odor in your home use Febreze spray. I put blankets on all my couches and my husband's chair during the week and of course take them off when guests come. The Febreze spray is excellent! Do carpets with it as well and anywhere your dog has been.
If you are talking walls or tile or linoleum flooring, you may be in luck. Wash the floor/walls with a white vinegar/water solution. If you have carpeting, the odor is most likely in the pad or infused into the fibers. Replacement after cleaning the floor underneath is probably the best option. There are some cement cleaners out there that remove odors.
I find febreeze or other such product is good for removing urine smells out of cloth/furniture. you can also use eucalyptus oil mixed with water. there are commercially available products such as "piss off!" that claim to remove urine smells too (from your local pet shop).

Febreeze air freshener is the best way to get rid of pet odors. I would know because I have 7 pets and boy do they stink!
Vinegar and baking soda is a home remedy that cleans up pet accidents and gets rid of pet odors. Put it in a spray bottle to spray directly on stains.
I have 4 cats and a bird, and they do not smell good! I purchased a product called What Odor, and it completely eliminates any odor's I use it on. I recommend you try this!!
One of the best natural ways to neutralize pet odors would be to use a combination of vinegar and baking soda. Or one could visit a pet supply store for air fresheners or products to use.
Aside from replacing your carpet when you have a pet odor issue the best source is to use a pet and urine and odor remover these can be bought over the counter at any grocery or mega store.
Stop peeing on it
You can use Febreeze Pet Odor~ Works great!
A cold can indeed cause urine to smell strong. This is because the body is getting rid of unwanted sickness.
Wash the floor with a 50/50 mixture of vinegar & water. As the floor dries, the vinegar smell will dissipate along with the smell of urine.
You should absorb the urine with paper towels or cloth towels. You can use white vinegar to neutralize the odor. There are also pet products that you can buy at the pet store to get rid of and neutralize urine.
Pour white vinegar on the affected area and soak it well. Use paper towels to remove excess vinegar. It will smell strongly like vinegar for a few days, but once the vinegar odour is gone, so should the urine smell. Vinegar neutralizes a variety of unpleasant odours. Do not use red vinegar as this will stain your carpet.
I have this same problem....apparently you can replace the insulation.
go to the pet store and ask for a enzymatic cleaner called Nature's Miracle.
Try a special enzymatic dog urine remover (available at any pet store). They work the best.
There are many ways. One, get a new car. Two, hire a professional to get the smell out. That's all i have now.
Yes, it will smell, but the males sink much much much more. If you are looking for a pet get a female. because they smell a lot better.
I imagine to would but there are other products on the market that will do the same thing. Nature's Miracle will remove the smell out of the crate. It will also remove stains out of carpet of pet urine.
