We might identify an integrated circuit (IC) by recognizing it in a circuit. A voltage regulator in a piece of electronic equipment might be an example of an IC that a technician might recognize. There is also the idea that the number on the package can be used to cross reference the device and identify it. There are a number of cross reference guides on the web that will assist in locating a data sheet on a particular package.
The numbers around the chip correspond to the leg numbers on the chip.

a tab on a metal case or a dot on a molded plastic case is typical.
Scr looks like a regulator IC. So keep the scr in such a way that its name should face us. then from left it will KAG.
IC Bus was created in 2002.
In linear IC'S the output voltage is very according to input voltage In digital IC's the output voltage is either high or low
IC pins are numbered anti-clockwise around the IC starting near the notch or dot.
Read the part number and read the data sheet
To find an IC number when there were two numbers mentioned, it is ideal to have everything on a spreadsheet. From there, you can search the specific number or relation of numbers.

Not all the IC's are starts from 74 , it is TTL series IC's starting numbers basically 74 series are digital IC's . GATE FLIP-FLOP COUNTER REGISTER ADDER ALU
a tab on a metal case or a dot on a molded plastic case is typical.
you can identify them if they have 8 lttle legs...
for addition of 8 numbers by IC , first we have to connect all bit numbers on different pins of IC & then take the output on remaining pins , For these first we have to make a program for vhdl in FPGA (field programmable gate array) & proceed accordingly .
read the datasheet or databook entry for the chip. there is no other reliable way.
The length of the legs. The positive leg is always longer than the negative one.
