the water pump is driven by the timing chain.. that said, unless you have experience replacing timing sets, I wouldn't tackle this
Drain the water coolant from the engine. Remove the water hoses. Remove the front engine cover. Remove the retaining nuts from the water pump. Reverse the process to install the new water pump.
The water pump is on the front center of the engine.

You first disconnect the battery, then drain the cooling system, discount belt from engine and water belt pulley, then remove the water pump bolts and remove the water pump, then you install the new water pump and put everything back.

the easy way to find it is to follow the lower radiator hose 'till it reaches the engine and that's your water pump. do it with the engine OFF since its going to take you to where the pulleys are. answer the water pump is on the front of the engine the fan bolts to the water pump
if this is a diesel, it is the easiest water pump to change remove serpentine belt remove water pump. install new pump reinstall serpentine belt pump is on front of engine just left of fan as you stand in front and look at engine
Remove the water return hose from your 2001 Suzuki water pump. Remove the water pump belt. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new water pump.
The water pump is on the front of the engine. It should be close to the center of the block with a pulley for the drive belt on front of it.
