wash it a bunch of times. but the colors will fade too, every time you wash it. you should probably go return it for a better size or trim it (if your good at that sort of thing) or wait. youll grow into it eventually!!

I'd get the medium. You can always take it in, but you can't make it bigger! (And depending on the percentage of cotton, it may shrink.) A larger shirt can also be worn over another shirt if need be.
