i Would like to ask if that could be not very nice to do to a free internet spot AS a computer science geek that is a master grad from Printon college i do know thessse time when i used to just spit on a tree that was establish in 1291 the truest and longest start insta toin it the world a would love if you could go to a place called printon a grand college and grandveiw misgone.

and then do the following
lets say i want to know the ip address of facebook.com
so i type in the command prompt
"ping facebook.com"
after i write this the command prompt will appear like this
"pinging facebook.com [ip address] with the 32 bytes of data"
after open a web browser
type in the ip address u just came to know
and the website would be opened.
BUT MANY SITES ARE HOSTED ON THE SAME SERVER, JUST AS ONE SITE MAY USE MANY IP ADDRESSES.
The NSLOOKUP - will query the "Name Server" - the DNS and get the IP Address. The Name itself will identify the "HTTP Mount point" on that particular server.
You can also get the IP address by doing "Whois" lookup. "Ping" will use DNS to resolve a "Canonical name" to an IP address, and send a character to the host, and this may respond with a message that allows you to trace the way to the server, and measure the time it takes to reach it.
If you use Linux or MacOS, you have "Network Tools" that contains these tools. Then you wlll also see how the HTTP identifies the site...
You can open a website by using its IP Address when there is only one site hosted on this IP address. Like "/etc/hosts" has defined my router to be 10.0.0.138. I can then reach the management console by typing "http://router".
You can amend your DNS simply by adding names in your "hosts" file. The DNS set-up on MS Servers is silly complicated. Just know that the names you give to your computers at home is spread around to your routers, and they will manage a DNS. Statis IP addresses are assigned MAC adapter ID, so that you can get the same IP every time. Dynamics means you draw from a pool, and an address can be reused by others when not in use.
