On our ZR-2, there was a plastic tab/strip that locks the assembly in place. The top of the strip sticks up a little, on the back side of the frame the radiator mounts to. You pull up on the strip (I used a screwdriver), that releases the assembly There's a little plastic nub on the back side of the headlight that the strip/tab locks onto. Easy if you know the trick?
