The way I scrunch my hair is a overnight process. My hair is straight. But when I come out of the shower it has a wave to it. I have found a great way to scrunch hair. It Works ! I start off by washing my hair with Herbal Essences totally twisted curls and waves shampoo. After shampooing my hair I massage my hair with Herbal Essences totally twisted curls and waves conditioner. Once I shampoo and condition my hair I rap my hair in a towel tightly for 5 min. After I take it down I let it air dry for 10 min.
Then I start scrunching my hair with scrunching gel. I recommend Herbal Essences totally twisted scrunching gel and L'Oreal Paris Studio Line silky curls gel. Then you split your hair in 2 sections. After that you squeeze out a quarter size amount of gel in your hand, you rub your hands together and then start scrunching the first section of your hair. You do the same to the 2nd section. If needed use more gel to scrunch hair. After I finish scrunching I tie my hair in a tight bun and spray only the bun with Aussie sprunch catch the wave hair spray but don't spray alot just 4 squirts.
In the morning after I take a shower I take my hair out of the bun. Then I scrunch it a little with gel and then I use a little L'Oreal Paris Studio Line overworked hair putty. I just scrunch it in my hair. Next I spray Aussie sprunch catch the wave hair spray on my hair.

I put mousse in my hair and make sure its wet and squeeze scrunch at the same time.
I have straight hair and even after I take a shower and I scrunch my hair.... I doesn't always turn out to be curly!! But I guess that's just my hair. Actually, that often works quite well. You could also try putting a little curling pomade in the hair before you scrunch it.

I have the same problem but what i do is put it in a bun at night then take it out in the morning then use some kind of curling spray and damp my hair, dry it then i put mousse in it and scrunch it in my hair.
after getting out of shower flip hair over. Put some mousse in hand. start from back. scrunch up your hair like your making a fist. Repeat over entire head.
of course why would someone ask that Question?!?!
What works for my straight hair is scrunching while it's damp, use a little hairspray or mousse and scrunch some more; then use a diffuser on my hairdryer to set it. (And since my hair doesn't always "scrunch" evenly, I have a wavy curling iron to touch up the straighter areas.)

you can scrunch it or curl it with an iron.

You can wet it and scrunch it, except for that you would have to let it dry. Or, you can twist it and do it that way. If you don't want a twisty look you'd have to do it the wet way.
