Try changing the flasher. Turn it on and follow the sound.
Your car has a combination signal/hazard flasher. It's plugged into the "convenience center" which is mounted at the top of the left kick panel.
There is no relay. The flasher in under the dash on the left of the steering column
in the fuse pannel located on the drivers side of the dash facing the door.

Well, if none of them work, (front or back) I'd suspect a fuse or the flasher. Do the 4 way emergency lights work? If so, they operate on a separate flasher and this would indicatethat the turn signal flasher is bad.

Signal flasher is located behind the panel left of the ashtray. Panel has to come off and you will see the signal flasher and the four way flasher.
The front or rear turn signal flasher bulb may be burned out and needs to be replaced. The turn signal flasher my be defective and should be replaced. The hazzard lights have a flasher unit of their own. These are found up in under the dash in the steering column area.
The flasher on a 2002 Alero is all part of the hazard switch up on the dash. I just had mine replaced under GM's special policy for the signal light problem and I asked them where the flasher was.
