The last Morgan was struck in 1921. This coin is an EISENHOWER dollar, unless it has a "S" mintmark it's just a big dollar coin. Just spend it.
There is no silver in a 1972 US half dollar.
It isn't, unless it has an "S" mintmark and might then be made out of silver, otherwise, it is worth a dollar. The 1972 Eisenhower dollars are some of the most common releases of the series.
One dollar.
$1
If such a coin exists, it was made by some private company and NOT the U.S. Mint. No coins ever made for circulation were pure silver, and the last year for genuine Morgans was 1921.
No half dollars intended for circulation minted since 1970 contain any silver. No 1972 half dollar has any silver. It is only worth 50 cents.
Sorry no silver in this coin and it has only face value.
For 1971 & 1972 only proof versions of this coin were struck in 40% silver and have values of about $6.00.
It's still worth one dollar.
The 1972 Eisenhower Dollar is 38.1 mm in diameter and weighs 24.59 grams.
They aren't. A lot of 1972 quarters were minted, none of them contain silver. They are worth only $.25.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
