How vast is the solar system?

It is unknown. We have theories of it being infinite. Imagine a Basketball. The earth is in the center of that ball. We can see all the way to the edge of the ball and that's it. All that area in the ball we can see, but we cant see whats past that edge. So we really have no clue how big it is except for guesses and theory's.
