Increased production with the same amount of workers. As time went on he produced more cars with the same amount of workers thus costly less to produce each car. He also made charcoal from the scrap wood used in production and sold it. He also was able to use the wooden boxes the parts came in when making wooden parts for the car.
He was able to keep costs low and produce cheaper cars by using an assembly line instead of building the cars one by one.
