BB guns or Pellet guns go back to the 17th Century . When Girandoni developed one for the Austrian ARMY. Later Louis and Clark carried an air rifle with them on their expedition across the Unites States. It wasn't until much later that Daisy made their first BB rifle around 1899. The BB gun was invented as an alternate way of shooting without using gunpowder.
