The central place for education in Jesus day was the synagogue. Boys ages 5-18 were taught by Rabbis. The Old Testament was the source of material studied, especially the Torah, the first five books of The Bible. Children were required to memorize the Torah!
Religion, customs and traditions of the people.
There was no school as we know today. But children studiedat the temple , under the priests.
During Jesus time boyslearnt at the temple.
Jesus had no formal education on religion, being the son of a carpenter.
I think where Jesus lived it was warm...
2000 years ago, free public education was available for children regardless of societal status. Further education was available for adults.
GREAT!
Primitive
Different cultures focused on different aspects of teachings.
Between the time of Jesus' birth and his being lost in the temple when he was around age twelve, is the only childhood of Jesus we know about. We are not aware of any schooling that Jesus may have received. It is guessed that he received the sane education as all other Jewish boys of his time.
In those days all did not go to school. Jesus has no education mentioned in the bible.
Jesus was in human form just like us. He was Jesus yes, but He did things normal like us. The only thing He didn't do that was amazing, was sin. Now, Jesus was tought the same way as we are/were tought. He went to school like a normal boy, and had friends just like a normal life! Hope this helps! From Chicolette :)
