"Evil" is a concept that can be described as a cultural artifact. It does not exist in an absolute sense. Each culture establishes things it considers admirable and things it considers wrong. There is no agreement on these memes. They are very flexible even in the culture as an example killing is generally frowned on except in war or self defence when it is fine. Protection of property for some reason os sometimes seen as an acceptable excuse for murder.
