In New Berlin!!!! there are many schools you can go to in New Berlin. The most popular elementary school in New Berlin is Orchard Lane(North side of New berlin). Other elementary schools in New Berlin are Poplar Creek(north side of New berlin), Ronald Reagon(South side of New Berlin),Glen Park(South side of New Berlin), and Elmwood(South side of New Berlin). the South schools go to Eisenhower(Middle and High school), and the north side schools go to New Berlin west(Middle and high school). You can see parts of the Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery in Berlin, Germany.
During the years the Berlin Wall divided the city in half, one side was capitalist and the other side was communist. The west side of the wall was the capitalist side.
Berlin Checkpoint Charlie was in the middle of the street on Friedrichstrasse. It was at the intersection of Friedrichstrasse and Zimmerstrasse. When you crossed Zimmerstrasse you were then in East Berlin. The Kreuzberg District of Berlin in the old American Sector. :)
East was ruled by communist russia while west was ruled by the allies (america, france and Britain), Berlin was in the eastern side but it was also split up like the whole of Germany was, into four sectors, each one ruled by the corresponding ally.
The Berlin Wall surrounded West Berlin. Therefore... Inside the Berlin Wall: West Berlin Outside the Berlin Wall: The two closest cities were Potsdam to the west, and East Berlin to the east.
