It hasnt been cleaned up its still leaking. Bp has no idea how to close off the pipe or get it cleaned up they have completly screwed our marine life in the gulf.
Currently the BP and the American Government (and indirectly the American taxpayer) are paying to clean up the BP oil spill. It is expected that Cuba will have to pay for the spill as well when the oil hits their shores.
This cannot be known for certain. For starters, have they properly stopped the release of oil yet? No guarantees here. Secondly, how do you define 'cleaned up'? One would think that the Exxon Valdez spill was cleaned up some time ago and all the wildlife back again. But I learn that you can still find oil there even now. So is that spill cleaned up or not, in your definition?

BP and its contractors "accomplished" the oil spill. President Obama made sure it was cleaned up as much as possible and that BP compensated the affected individuals. This is one of the primary functions of government - preventing or at least minimizing the damage done by the private sector.
Bp is getting charged about 1,000 dollars a barrel of oil. They pluged up the oil though
The most recent (20 April 2010) BP oil spill has been going on for 91 days as of 2010 July 19th. The Alaskan Prudhoe Bay spill was discovered 2006 Mar 6, about a week after the first significant leaks began occurring. It took many months for the oil to be fully stopped and cleaned up.

No oil has affected Mexico beaches. No oil has washed up in Texas.
He offered to assist BP in the clean up efforts. He has a lot of ocean experience, but BP turned him down.
