What part did the Gettysburg address have with the Battle of Gettysburg?

In his Gettysburg Address, President Abraham Lincoln, used the example of the American Revolutionary War as an example of the American Civil War.

Lincoln, explained that just as the Colonists fought for their freedom to be an independent and united nation from England, so was the American Civil War happening to free the slaves, and give them the rights that Whites enjoyed.

Lincoln tried to express, the country needed to reunite. That neither side, whether it be the North, or the South would be able to survive without the other one.

Lincoln wanted to point out, that, the death of the men from both sides on that battle field, in which he was speaking, would be a reminder that together we are strong, but, divided we fall.

Lincoln make it clear, that, the government and rights should be allowed for all people to share. No matter what the color of skin you may have.
