How was the church important for the everyday life?

Do you mean how does it affect daily life? Or how it did in some certain time and place? I am a Catholic and for a very brief explanation, I basically try to follow God's commands in my daily life, summed up with: Love God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself. This involves work for the poor, protection of life, prayer, avoidance and confession of sin, forgiveness, and going to mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation, receiving the Holy Eucharist, fasting during lent, and service to others.

The Christian church helped people to develope fellowship with their fellow Christians and learn from the Holy Bible together. Chusrches sometimes also help the poor people in their own congregation as well as poor people outside it.
