how was the fighting goin for the north at the time
England forciblt entered Ireland 500 yrs before that. They had been fighting for independence all of that time and still do in the north. They weren't going to enter a Union willingly. They were fighting being forced into that union.
They were "the Civil War". The North and the South were going against each other. They were fighting against slavery (the North). And the South wanted slavery.

On the North America theater it was the British, with their colonies fighting the French. (we won't go into the Seven Years War that going on at the same time in Europe). The British came out ahead with the French losing all of their colonies in in North America
The South was fighting to keep its independence - and retain the cotton revenues. The North was fighting to restore the Union - and regain the cotton revenues.
Yes they were fighting about slavery. The north side of the U.S. was fighting against slavery and south was fighting to keep slavery. Boo slavery!
north
If you are referring to the drug-linked fighting, yes it is still going on.
no he is not
because the fighting was going no where and they understood that it would be a long time to ever get the north off the south back, and that signaed for a long war, and also the advantage the north Vietnam had on fighting in their own country..giving them and edge on American forces.
The US was part of a United Nations force fighting North Korea and its allies.
He was fighting against the south so he was with the north fighting against slavery.
