The globe theater was not "high tech" as we know the phrase to mean today. Rather the systems it had were modern for that time period. For example TGT had hell (an area underneath the stage, and heaven space above the stage. there was a trap door on the stage that led to hell and a swing type thing that would come down from heaven and bring some one up.
