The signers didn't just haul off and attack their "oppressors." Instead, they very eloquently and deliberately stated their intentions, citing the "opinion of mankind" as their reason for being so gentlemanly. This is a civilized way to break the political bonds between the colonies and Britain - a very enlightened ideal that sought to avoid war. War is now considered uncivilized and inhuman
Britain had no control over the colonists after the decleration of independence was written by Thomas Jefferson.on other hand the colonists did not have to pay ungodly amount of money on british tax.
Taine was both a literary critic and an historian. He analysed literature as a reflection of its times and enviroment. His Histoire de la litérature anglaise/History of English Literature (1863) was an attempt to apply this principle to a foreign country. the French have always been fascinated with trying to understand the English and their philosophy. This is because the french are steeped in Philosophy at school, and can't understand a nation which neglects that study and proceeds on purely pragmatic grounds.
A reflection is when you look back at your work and check it.Example: Class today you are going to write a reflection about your summer break.

Jefferson listed within the Declaration the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness which are a direct reflection of phrasing that john Locke, a very influential theorist during Era of Enlightenment, stated. He stated that every man should have the right to life, liberty, and property.

Like everything else about Thomas Jefferson, his religious beliefs are complex. Jefferson would be considered today to be an agnostic today. Where the Declaration of Independence speaks of the "laws of Nature and Nature's God", it's more of a reflection on the fact that Jefferson was a product of the enlightenment who believed in a "natural order" of things rather than any Christian beliefs on his part. At the same time Jefferson considered Jesus to be an ethical role model but not a religious figure. He wrote that the New Testament should be limited solely to the words and parables of Jesus and actually went so far as to develop his own translation of the New Testament. The closest thing Jefferson had to a "religion" was his belief that men had a right to worship 9or not worship) in any way they saw fit; this belief was memorialized in his "Virginia Statute on Religious Freedom" which, along with authorship of the Declaration of Independence and founding of the University of Virginia, were the only accomplishments he had inscribed on his epitaph.
A reflection.
