The environment of T-rex was a subtropical swampland. The primary plants were conifers, ferns, tree ferns, and cycads. There were also some ginkgos, as well as flowering plants, such as palms and Magnolids.

Other dinosaurs that lived in the same environment as T-rex included Edmontosaurus, Triceratops, and Ankylosaurus.
