Major powers have traditionally taken steps to keep their potential competitors fighting among themselves by clandestinely supplying opposing factions within them weaponry relying on the old divided they fall principle while building up their own power where ever possible. The US is a very good example of this form of peace making.
True
In World War I, the two countries were the United Kingdom and France. Other major countries were also Allied Powers- such as the USA, Russia, and Italy- but none of them were Allied Powers for the entire war (Italy joined 1915-1918, USA 1917-1918, and Russia 1914-1917). Only Britain and France were Allied Powers for the entire war
yes since fighting together and wining against the central powers were done to protect each other there would be no WWI without trustworthy alliances, they were the major cause
Not a single bullet was fired between the two major "warring" powers. There was never open combat between the NATO powers (US, GB, France, W. Germany, ect) and the Eastern Bloc (USSR, Poland, Czechoslovakia, ect).
To protect each other in case one of the axis powers is attacked by a different country. :)

The three major allied countries are Britain, France and Russia. But other countries include USA, Abyssinia and Serbia. Although USA is not a major part of the 3 allied powers, it still plays a very important in victory of WWII.
Ok, this question is missing the list of powers that are needed to determine what the other powers would be.
Two major sea powers faced each other - Japan and US.
In World War Two the "Allied" Powers fought and defeated the "Axis" powers. The major powers that led the "Allies" were France (later called the Free French), Great Britain (& Commonwealth nations), China, United States, and the Soviet Union. There were dozens of other Allied Powers that played various roles, such as Poland, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium, Yugoslavia, and Greece. The major "Axis" Powers were Germany, Italy, and Japan. I would add Vichy France to the list of major powers opposing the Allies. Also the Soviet Union helped the Axis from 1939 until 22 June 1941 when it was attacked by Germany & other minor Axis powers.
