trench warfare
World War I or WWI.
WWI was fought in Europe, mostly in trenches along France, Belgium and Germany
WWI wasn't as global as WWII, since WWI was mostly fought in Europe, while WWII was fought in Europe, Northern Africa, Asia, and the Pacific.
Hitler fought in WWI and was temporarily blinded by gas.
That's WWI, look up the website there; it'll be a long list.
Hitler was a veteran of WWI who fought under the German army.
Because it nearly mirrored WWI. In WWI, the European combatants, naturally, fought the majority of their land battles in Europe (trench warfare, etc.), but some land battles and naval battles were fought in Asia, and the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans. Those same lands and oceans were fought on or in by the same European nations that fought in the French and Indian wars. Stated another way, other than the date and modern equipment/weapons; WWI and the French & Indian War were fought in almost the same places by the same nations (countries). Almost...meaning, the American colonies which were a major battlefield during the French and Indian War, was NOT a battlefield at all during WWI (aka the Great War).
The US fought Germany and Japan in WWII. The US fought North Korea and Red China in the Korean War. The US fought Mexico in the Mexican War of 1846. The US fought Great Britain in the War of 1812. The US fought Spain in the Spanish-American War of 1898. The US fought Germany in WWI. The US fought North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Is America at war with the nation of Iraq?
WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf War and the War on Terror
The civil war was an un-declared war fought against ourselves. WW1 was a declared war fought against a foreign nation.
WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam. Persian Gulf War and the Global War on Terror
In WWI most Jewish men fought on the side if the Germans.....there were no camps.
