Water is h20 which is 2 oxygen atoms and one hydrogen atom to every bit of water. hydrogen and oxygen are a gas at the time oxygen is made...well as far as i know anyways...but I'm just a very intellegent year 8 student from London!
two or more different elements
They don't have the same elements that make them. Hope it helped. =)
The water molecule contains two different elements chemically combined, which makes it a compound. A compound is a pure substance that contains two or more different elements chemically combined.
two or more different elements
A compound is made when two ELEMENTS are joined together. We can look at the elements in the periodic table from these elements we get really everything that is around us. Water is a compound made from hydrogen and oxygen. There can be different combinations of the elements as this is what makes new things.
compound is when two or more elements combine chemically
silicon and oxygen
compound
A chemical compound is a substance consisting of two or more different elements bonded together in a fixed mass ratio that can be split into simpler substances. Also visit this wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_compound Just as long as you were talking about a chemical compound and not any other type.
Yes. And this might blow your mind but different compounds can even be formed from the same number and type of elements. Isomers! Example: Theobromine= vasodilator Theophylline= anti-inflammatory Same amount and type of elements, but arranged differently makes a completely different compound.
Atoms of elements combine to form compounds. A chemical compound is a pure chemical substance consisting of two or more different chemical elements that can be separated into simpler substances.
compound is different because it has a dick on it
