They were treated like enemy spies by some racist people and then were put into internment camps for 5 years.
Canada: Canadian citizens of Japanese descent lived in the internment camps. I'm not too sure about the Americans :P
They are located in the United States
By order of the US government (FDR's Executive Orders 9066 and 9102), they were relocated by law enforcement and military authorities, and guarded by the US Army. Canada pursued a similar policy, to the extent of classifying Japanese-Canadians as enemy aliens, and removing almost all of them from British Columbia.
Vancouver??
Canada is singular. It is a country, so it is treated as a single entity.
The Japanese were unconstitutionally and unfairly interned in internment camps around the USA. Canadian Japanese had the same thing happen to them. I have added some links below for you so you can see on a map were the internment camps were and the names of them. I added Canada too for you in case you are doing a research paper.
Even though there may have been individual exceptions, for the most part, free African Americans were treated little better than slaves. The racist caste culture did not recognize individual dignity in other races. Free African Americans fared better in the North, and many went to Canada.
African Americans traveled to Canada because there was no slavery there and they traveled there because their masters treated them very badly. They got whipped and beaten even if they rested from work for a minute. So they escaped through the underground railroad and they came to Canada.
Well I guess. :)
yes they are
not good
No, you can not. are you sure?
