Jewish daughters were educated in the home, until about 100 years ago when Sarah Schenirer instituted Jewish girls' seminaries with the approval of the leading Rabbis of the time. Jewish boys have always been educated in Talmudei-Torah and Yeshivot. Also:

Jewish daughters were not made to learn the vast expanse of the Talmud. Their studies centered on Jewish prayers, outlook and beliefs, and laws. Often they also became well-versed in the Hebrew Bible and Midrash.
