How were sports in the 1980s played differently than the 2000s?

The 80's in Basketball were much different from present day. In the 80's, the shorts were much smaller now causing many analysists to laugh about it. Also, the style of play was much more physical, with a lot more flagrant fouls, technical fouls, and a much more aggresivs style of play. Lastly, the players were much less athletic. There were not many dunks or highlight reels. The style of play was much more around outside shooting and simple post ups. Baseball was less revolved around player safty. If a pitcher hit the ball at the batter , nothing would happen unlike now where a suspension would be handed out to the pithcer. Football and Hocjkey did not exhibit much change from the last 2 decades. Hope I helped!
