We attacked them with aircraft carriers, marines and the rest of the Pacific Fleet. We uses our marines to invade key islands in a sort of chain action all the way to Japan. We used our aircraft carriers as floating air bases to house our aircraft that we used to attack Japanese controled island bases and to cripple their navy. And we used our other surface vessels to defend the carriers and landing forces. And last, we uses our submarines to destroy enemy shipping lanes and other surface vessels. Theres your answer.
WHY DID THE AMERICANS ATTAK
it was an unexpected suprise attack
Americans believed Japan would not attack on American soil because they thought Japan would not risk provoking the United States into entering World War II. Additionally, there was a belief that Japan's military capabilities were not strong enough to launch a successful attack on American territory.
It cannot be described.
Japan's sneak attack on Pearl Harbor…
JAPAN WAS ATOMIC BOMBED BY THE AMERICANS IN 1945
War of 1812, by Britain; and WW2, by Japan.
The raid began in 1942, and then the bombing began in 1944.
The Americans cut off Japan's fuel supply because japan invaded indochina (Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia).
The Japanese feared that if they could not hold Iwo Jima, that the Americans would be able to use the airports on the island to more easily attack Japan.
Japan was able to do this so easily because the message of war came after the attack, so it was a sneak attack. Although, a Japanese sub was spotted outside the harbor and another one was sunken.
Americans were angry. The public cried "get Japan first was the cry that rose from millions of infuriated Americans, especially on the Pacific Coast.
