The Andes mountains and the islands of Japan are both formed by subduction zones which was caused by volcanoes. The Himalayas were formed by convergent plate boundaries but no subduction zone. Instead the plates collided and there was uplift causing the mountains.

They were all formed at convergent boundaries
An island is formed. The mountain gets bigger and bigger until it forms an island. i hope that answered your question. :) x
The Andes were formed when one tectonic plate was driven below another, elevating part of the South American plate. The Himalayas were formed (and are still being formed) by crushing and folding of one tectonic plate as another is driving into it. The Japanese island chains were formed (and are still being formed) by two tectonic plates pulling slightly apart from each other. Magma boils upward, forming new land.
All were formed by plates converging toward Eurasea and closing of the Tethys Sea.
The monastery is at the top of the mountain at the Himalayas. You can see the head monk there, and you can climb the trail above the monastery to seek clues.
In the Himalayas, climb up and left and one will show up to help you.The Sherpa guide will help you up the mountain at the Himalayas. He appears once you start up the trail. The mountain climbing is tricky, as you need to tie up and stay tied to each ring until the guide catches up to you.
The abbot (head monk) is in the monastery at the top of the mountain in the Himalayas. Once you have the camera from Loch Ness, climb up and talk to him (but to no avail), then get the photo of the footprint from the top of the mountain. That is all you do there.
hot spot volcanoes such as the Hawaiian island chain.
Before you go to the Himalayas, get the digital camera by helping the driver at Loch Ness. You will need to climb the mountain to see the head monk at the monastery, who reportedly has a Yeti scalp. But unfortunately, he won't give it to you. He does give you a camping lantern. If you climb up to the top of the mountain above the monastery, you will find a footprint to photograph. These two items are all you can get from the Himalayas, so you will have to prove the other three cryptids.
Island arc mountains are formed when one oceanic plate is subducted beneath another oceanic plate, creating a volcanic island arc.
