Badly
conciseness objectors ( conchies )
The conchies were conscientious objects who refused to fight and take part in the military service act in WW1. The claimed the rights not to fight, on the grounds of freedom of thought, conscience or religion. If you were not physicall fit to fit in the war or your job was essential to the war, you wouldn't have to fight and you wouldn't be a conchie, although they were sometimes treated as them.
they were treated badly!!!!!The conchies were treated terribly. They were treates as cowards, traitors and criminals by the army and the government. The public would often give them white feathers, which were a sign of cowardice. They had to walk around with them in shame. Conchies were often imprisioned or given aroun 10 years of intense, hard community service. Some conchies were even put to death! :o

Trench foot is a disease caused by the cold and wet. It was a huge problem in ww1, many soldiers would only be treated in the late stages meaning they have to have an amputation, some didn't survive.
