The pharaohs were like those rulers of ancient Egypt. It is not like the British rulers. Their empire was pretty small, because of the vast land space and less population. With those few people, they brought out great knowledge to the world. I guess they are considered to be the first people to make paper in the name papyrus. And look at those great pyramids which is basically built to keep in the Pharaoh's body after death. A separate pyramid for each pharaoh. The mummify the body to preserve it and fill the pyramid with gold and precious stones. these pyramids still stand as architectural marvels and no wonder they are among the seven wonders of the world.
