No one knows the exact answer. Even with the technology we have today, it would take around twice as long to make the pyramids in the time they did. Some suggest that the Egyptians made them themselves, using a long, board walk (for lack of a better word) that wrapped around the pyramid as the lay bricks on. This would be performed by ( for a 2D model, although it is the same concept) laying, let's say five bricks down, then four, then three, etc. This would be very difficult though, since each brick lay about 7 tons.
Another theory is that the Egyptians built a small pyramid, then built on top of that, and on top of that, etc. The last theory some have is that they were helped by extra-terrestrials, but in my opinion, that is ridiculous.
