What did the Algonquian tribe follow?

There is no such thing as the Algonquian tribe. The term Algonquian applies to a very large family of distantly-related languages spoken by tribes across the entire North American continent. So, for example, the Arapaho (who spoke an Algonquian language) lived on the Great Plains and lived entirely different lifestyles to the Powhatan (another Algonquian-speaking group) who lived in the tidewater areas of Virginia.

Was Pocahontas part of the Algonquian tribe?

Algonquian is not a tribe, it's a large grouping of tribes that speak Algonquian languages. Tribes in the Powhatan confederacy, which Pocahontas was part of, spoke an Algonquian dialect. That language is now extinct, though there are efforts to reconstruct it, which means they have an approximation of it based on historical word lists and still-existing Algonquian dialects.
