It's rumored that he'll die in the last book of the Omen of the Stars series.He hasn't yet but I think he will soon.He dies in Fading Echos when in a battle with Shaowclan. Russetfur just hangs on to his neck. Firestar is trying to escape and fight back but his paws keep slipping on his own blood. Finally Lionblaze knocks over Russetfur but Firestar is already dead. since Russetfur broke the warrior code by killing without being in a life or death matter Starclan killed her. Liionblaze put no scratch on her.
