It will start to slip
No, the engine is not dependent on the transmission or transmission fluid in order to start & run.
if you run out of transmission fluid yes because then your car couldn't run
The fluid level in a transmission will not change unless it leaks.
It is toxic and it will get low mpgs
One of the most important fluids in your car is the transmission fluid. There is no way around getting your car to run properly without transmission fluid. This fluid is what makes your transmission turn and the gears shift. If you have a leak and there is little of no fluid in your transmission, then your car will not move. There are some signs you can look for if you think your car is low on fluid. If you have a large piece of cardboard, you can place it under the car. This will let you know if there is any fluid leaking form under the car. Leave the board under the car for at least a day in order to see if anything is leaking. Take the board out from under the car and look to see if there is any fluid on the board. If there is, you need to examine to see what kind of fluid it is. It if it red, then it is most likely transmission fluid. When you discover there is a transmission fluid leak, you will need to have it looked at by a mechanic immediately. Some leaks are not detectable until the mechanic looks underneath the car. You could also have an internal leak that is not showing up under the car. The fluid could be going to your oil reserve or to another part of the car. Sometimes when you have your transmission fluid changed, the bolt may not be tight enough and some fluid will leak around it. All you have to do is take it back to the mechanic and get them to tighten the bolt. If the fluid leak is large, you will either need to get the gasket changed or find out where the fluid is going. Do not run a car longer than necessary with no transmission fluid. This will damage the transmission more than if you would just get the fluid leak fixed.
Transmission flush is really good for your car. A transmission flush is a mixture of oil and transmission fluid which allows your transmission to run really smoothly.
Check the transmission fluid level. This happened to me when the transmission oil was really low. I had to add about 4 quarts before the vehicle would move in either direction. Usually that's a transmission problem (assuming it's an automatic). Check the transmission fluid level. If the fluid is low you might be able to get the vehicle to run by adding fluid. If the fluid is low, check for leaks to keep it from happening again. If the fluid is black or dark red (red with blackened tint) your transmission has been slipping and has failed. If it's a "stick" shift, you'll probably need a new clutch/pressure plate.
my car sometimes it doesn't want run is that transsmision?
Many issues could cause noises in a transmission. Start by checking the transmission fluid. Look for low fluid, discoloration or a burnt smell. Run a check of computer codes to show a possible transmission problem.
because the transmission doesn't shift <--- BAD ANSWER OK CRANK THE CAR LET RUN FOR 3-5 MIN PULL OUT THE TRANSMISSION DIPSTICK WITH THE CAR RUNNING WIPE IT OFF STICK IT BACK IN THEN PULL IT OUT READ THE CROSSHATCHED LINES REPETE THIS STEP RECHECK AFTER YOU ADD FLUID
It is probably low on transmission fluid. Check transmission fluid level only with a warm engine after it has been run about 5 miles or so. Checking this when the engine is cool will give false readings.
On the driver side of the transmission pan there is a fill plug. The car must be in the air and level. With the car running fluid will run out of the plug hole when it is full. This is no fun without a lift.
