There is a new project that would allow us to go to the Moon or possibly beyond(project is named Orion).
Space shuttle aren't capable of travel to the Moon.
No spaceship currently used is able to fly a man to the Moon.

The space shuttle fleet is scheduled to be retired in 2011. When the shuttle program ends, the space shuttle will have been launched on more than 130 missions. :):):):):)
