This judgment occurs at the end of the present universe and just before the creation of the new heaven and the new earth.

On this day of judgment all unbelievers from all ages will be raised from the dead from where ever they lay, some in graves, some in the sea and those who were found in "Death and Hades". Satan himself has been cast into the Lake of Fire. There are no living unbelievers at this judgment as all who were in the world were destroyed physically, previously.

Then the books will be opened. These books contain all the words and deeds of sinful men. Another book is opened, the Book of life and it contains all who are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. These dead sinners will be judged from the books and their names will not be found in the book of Life. Then they will all be cast into the lake of Fire.

Some have suggested that there are degrees of punishment (punishment to fit the evil done) I don't know if this is true or not, but just being cast into the Lake of Fire suggest a torment I would not want to face. There is not going to be a big reunion and party with all your other sinful friends, but far from it. It will be a place of suffering for an eternity. The subject of eternal damnation is serious.

Should Christians participate in beauty contests?

Christians, and everybody else, should do what their own consciences dictate. So long as they have fully informed themselves of the consequences of any action they take, then they are bound to obey their consciences. Those who believe that they will face a judgment at the end of their lives will not be judged by how well they did what mere humans advised them to do, but by how they lived their lives as weighed through their gifts and talents - and the greatest of those gifts is our conscience.
