Compared to this, any technological change is quite secondary. BUt if we DO survive, it is likely that technology will continue making a tremendous progress.
Anyway, it is estimated that in about a billion years it will become too hot on Earth for any life as we know it to survive. This is because our Sun will gradually become hotter and hotter.
