Space Travel is essential for the survival of the Human Race, the likelihood of a large disaster wiping out our species is great.
To survive we must broaden our horizons and look for new planets to live on and that can sustain human life.
Russia.
Space does not have an "end" like a physical boundary. It is infinite and expanding. As of now, the observable universe is about 93 billion light-years in diameter, but there is no known edge to space.
Of all the deaths caused by space travel, 100% of them were caused by space travel.Of all the people who have been launched from the Earth aboard space vehicles, however, the number of deaths has been relatively minuscule. To come at it from another angle . . .-- Space 'travel' has been a reality since Yuri Gagarin's flight in 1961 . . . roughlyfifty years now.-- During that time, I'm guesstimating that perhaps 30 people have died in thecourse of preparation, execution, or conclusion of space travel.-- The CIA World Factbook estimates the world crude mortality rate at 8.37 per 1000 per year.-- Assuming a world population of 6 billion, that says that during the fifty years ofspace travel, something like 2.5 billion people have died.-- That puts space-travel casualties at 0.0000012 percent of all deaths.
I don't think it has a name. Space exploration, maybe. Aerospace Engineering would come close.
Yes. When you go into space, look around, and come back, you always arrive at a time which is later than it was when you launched.
It will go to space and come back to earth in 2 years.
Humankind won't know until we develop a way of space travel outside of our solar system that doesn't take 10,000 years. ...Or, until the aliens come to us.
I doubt they would be a great danger to space travel. Sure, if you fall into one, you are dead - but it is extremely like that this would happen in any individual trip. The closest known black hole is several thousand light-years away. There may be others nearer to us, but bumping into one of them by accident is extremely unlikely.

No oxygen or anything around in space, causing sound to not travel. That where the helmets come in, they have radios that trans-mitt to other helmets. So people can hear.
well of course not its a probe it come out of commission after 10 years and floats in space like space junk
Space Travel is very expensive and it also has a very negative effect on the environment, but it helps mankind understand much more about everything in the universe which satisfies our curiosity. In the aspect of understanding our universe space travel is very necessary. But how does it really help us? If a major comet the size of a mountain comes along (which happens every 100,000,000 years) and we, because of space travel, can stop it, well then space travel has been a very necessary thing indeed. If that doesn't happen, I'm not sure if you can class space travel as a necessity. Why should people starve in the world when so much money is spent on space travel? You can't eat rockets... It's a matter of opinion if space travel is a necessity or not. I for one think our understanding of the universe is important in several aspects, such as understanding how unique we are and how unique life is and I hope we can come to appreciate it more then we do today. In addition I believe that the moon landings cost about five percent of the tax money during those years (if you know the correct numbers please tell me) Ask yourself if you think that money was well spent and if that was necessary.
