To become a pediatrician you need:

4 year college degree

4 year medical school degree

3-4 years of an accredited residency program

For a combined total of 11-12 years of training after the completion of high school.

The training to become a pediatrician is long and requires a lot of studying, and once you are in your second half of medical school and in residency the hours at the hospital are long. But if you like what you are doing you won't mind too much.
