how does the heart work
Pulmonary circulation is the exchange of blood between the heart and the lungs. Systemic circulation is the the exchange of blood between the heart and the body overall
exchange of gases and nutrients in the blood; pumps blood and controls heart
oxygen-poor blood is pumped through the pulmonary arteries to the lungs. gas exchange occurs in the lungs and the oxygenated blood is then returned to the left side of the heart through pulmonary veins
They are small blood vessels that take deoxygenated blood to the heart. Gas exchange.
it works
it pumps blood threw your heart
If you do not breathe the blood in your veins and arteries can not flow. The exchange of CO2 and oxygenated blood can not mix and exchange in the heart. The gas from CO2 will suffocate you and you will die.
The blood vessels that carry blood to the heart are called veins. There are two other kinds of blood vessels. Capillaries allow body tissues to exchange water and chemicals with blood, and arteries carry blood away from the heart and back out to the body.
Arteries - carry blood away from the heart Veins - carry blood back to the heart Capillaries - allow the exchange of water/chemicals between blood and tissues
Blood is found within the cardiovascular system of the body. Therefore, it is found in the blood vessels and heart. Blood remains within this closed system.
The heart pumps blood to the lungs to be reoxygenated. Valves in our veins and the muscle contractions of our legs helps bring blood from the lower limbs to the heart.
