Two Of the Pharoah`s of ancient Egypt were Called Narmer And Menes
He was important because he united Upper and Lower Egypt.
King Narmer united Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt during his rule in the 1st Dynasty.
Narmer also known as Menes ruled upper Egypt and was able to control lower Egypt and unite them both.
If legend says that king Narmer united upper and lower Egypt some historians think Narmer actually represents several kings....
Menes also known as Namer and the Scorpion King c.3100bce
About 3100 B.C., Narmer the king of Upper Egypt, led his armies north and took control of Lower Egypt.
King Menes (a.k.a.) Narmer of Egypt united the thus stating the first dynasty of pharaohs in Egypt in about 3150 B.C.E. He was the first one to wear the double crown which was made by the red crown the symbol of lower Egypt and the white crown the symbol of upper Egypt . The double crown is also a symbol for the upper and lower Egypt .
Narmer was the ruler of upper Egypt.
This is a tricky question. The first king and queen ever or of a particular land? I personally choose to talk about the Egyptian people who exalted Pharaohs as their rulers. Please see the notes section as to why I chose the Egyptians. The Pharaoh I see as the first "King" was named Narmer (Horus Nameru). While there are pharaohs previous to Narmer (ex. Ka, Wazner, Thesh, etc...) it is held to be Narmer who united the Upper and Lower Egypt into the "kingdom" of Egypt. According to the Great Hierakonpolis Palette Narmer was ruling during 3100 B.C. His "queen" is thought to be Neithhotep. She is believed to have been a princess of the Upper Egypt region.
Narmer (or Menes) in 3000 BC, after he united Lower Egypt with Upper Egypt.
The first Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt that is not a god is King Narmer(sometimes called Menes).Osiris was the first god Pharaoh.
