Algae is everywhere water is - which is everywhere. The moment sterile water is exposed to the air you and I breathe, it has algae in it.
Most of these are various planktonic algaes called phytoplankton, which are microscopic - think bacteria. They grow and reproduce quickly when they have the conditions they need.
Tap water itself is surprisingly high in nutrients depending on where you are. In most places, there are so many nitrogen and phosphorous compounds in it that it is usually well over 10 times the normal, natural water-body (ponds, streams, lakes) level. This promotes the rapid growth of the algae cultures.
This is called an algal bloom. 2 days is still extremely fast - they must have had just the right amount of warmth and plenty of sunlight.
no but algae can form after a while yes algae would grow and it is a type of mold/fungi!!
Ordinary ground water? A few days can see the algae form.
As eutrophication occurs, algae form a thick scum on the water. Hope I helped <3.
The plural of alga is algae. The plural possessive is algae's.
Plants and other photosynthetic organisms such as algae take in ________ from the atmosphere and combine it with water and energy from the sun to form sugar.
For algae to form there has to be 3 specific things available. They are water, light and food (for the algae). Algae evolved to clean and purefy water. It is natures water purefier. Algae performs like green plants/trees perform on land. If there is an "Algae Bloom" it is usually caused by the presence of large quantities of (food) impurities in the water and lots of sunshine. Mans interference and land degradation beside natures waterways is the reason for any algal "problem"
Brown algae
No, tadpoles don't eat celery. They only feed on the algae that is in the water that they are born in. Also, if they are not in the water that they were born from while they are still in tadpole form, they'll die.
Algae is grown by ammonia in the water that is turned into nitrite/nitrate is food for algae to grow. It also needs a little light. To get rid of it you can put fast growing live plants in your aquarium to reduce the nitrite/nitrate in the water that algae feeds on. See Related links below
If there is a spot the wtar got in or even if there isnt, if you put the sealed container in a condensation chamber and leave it there for a long enough period of time eventualy the water will get out in the form of water vapor then condence in the chamber and eventually you will have all the water out of the container. (This process will go faster with some form of heater on the sealed container.)
