Viruses and specifically viruses that can change your homepage settings can be fixed by installing and running an up to date antivirus platform such as 'AVG', 'Norton' or 'Avast'.
Your computer would usaly get random pop-ups advertising to downloading stuff. It may also change your internet HomePage to something different. If that happens get a virus scan or download a trustworthy anti-virus.
"The questions answered on the McAfee homepage are how one acquires a virus (or malware), how a virus would get past an anti-virus program, who creates these viruses, and how contracting a computer virus can be prevented in the future."
You probably have a virus. This type of virus is known as a Browser Hijacker. Browser Hijackers can change your homepage, explode your browser with pop-ups, and redirect your Web Searches. Usually, a good antivirus scan would determine this problem.
There are several good free virus protection programs available for download. My personal suggestion would be to try AVG's free virus protection. There are several downloadable anti-virus programs for free. Try http://www.avg.com/us-en/homepage or http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Utilities/Anti-Virus_Utilities/Norton_Antivirus.html.
The homepage is simply the first page a visitor would see when they view a website. The can navigate through loads of pages, but there should always be a link back to the homepage.
You would not actually make homepage (or index page) in Firefox. A homepage is made in a program and it can then be viewed in Firfox. I would suggest you go check out the free website makers online, they are easy to use and have tutorials to help.
I would go to her homepage at marthastewart.com
No... It's kinda impossible i think cos when you are building the anti virus package that would dramatically change the world and loose some peoples hobbies, someone would be creating a new killer virus to wipe out the one you are making Make sense? Hope that helps :)
