We are all the time taxed without representation. In CA gas tax was just raised three cents a gallon. I didn't vote for it.
If people were taxed today without representation they would probably go against the president and have WWlll. (Im just saying this out of my mind though, im not excactly sure about the exact answer.)

Legally, yes. However the ethics of governments at the time were somewhat different than those today. There would be few people nowadays who would say taxation without representation was an acceptable was to treat a countries subjects.
Today they hop into their Mercedes without giving it a thought.
