It likely depends on what situation they were living in. Many fictional works have tried to imagine an immortal life. In some, people get bored, or eternally sad because they have lost so much. In others, they are happy to be able to keep living and experiencing new things and new people.
I imagine that an eternal life would have ups and downs just like a limited lifespan does. ... Of course, if you couple eternal life with other things, then everything changes. The eternal life spoken of by many religions after this life is usually a place of eternal joy... or eternal regret.
