One could get a free bible for children to use in school by going anywhere that gives away free bible. Some places could be church and other religious places.

In the Bible I do not know of any children's prayer that says anything about : lead me into the promised land; If there is I would like for someone to site the verse for me as I would appreciate it.

In the 1600s, Pilgrim children living in New England learned at school. They would go to a one-room schoolhouse where they would learn from a teacher. Pilgrim children would learn about reading, writing, and arithmetic. They would also learn about the Bible.

In general parents whose children go to school would be against a longer summer break, because when children are in school, someone else is looking after them other than the parents - schools are, in effect, day-care centers. In addition, most parents at least hope that their children are learning useful things in school, which will prepare them to be successful later in life, and parents therefore would not wish to reduce the amount of education that their children receive.
