It likely would not continue to function very long. US citizens hold their freedoms dear and are of a peculiarly rebellious sort. US citizens tend to rebel against authority even when it is not so overbearing and controlling as in a communist country such as China or North Korea. Of course, being a democratic country, it is highly unlikely that a true communist group could take control outside of a coup.
Communism (classless stateless society) has never existed.
Communism would create a society with no social classes.
would we be able to function in society without rules
That eventually the need to have a 'state' would be obsolete, and that the state would disappear while the classless society 'temporarily dictated by the proletariat' would remain.
Socialist.
No, it is not very close to communism at least in the way that Karl Marx envisioned both systems. Under socialism, there would be a government that would own and control the means of production and steer the economy. There would be no private ownership of property. Property would be controlled by the state. Under most socialist systems today, many goods and services, such as health care, are provided by the state, but individuals still own their own property. Some socialist regimes are actually more repressive of their people than they were under capitalist systems. According to Marx, under communism there would be no government at all. It would wither away as being unnecessary. With government gone, the means of production would owned and controlled by everyone. There would be no social class divisions. Members of society would work for the good of the whole society rather than for individual gain. As Marx put it under communism, people would contribute toward the good of the whole according to their abilities and take according to their need.
Karl Marx believed that in a communist society, the government would be ruled by the working class, also known as the proletariat. He argued that the proletarians would own the means of production collectively and establish a classless society without private property or social distinctions.
No, Communism died simply because it was an unstable system. Under Communism, everyone was poor and wouldn't work much. The Soviet Union also never had a good leader. However, I did hear that under Communism, it didn't allow for a powerful military. Not sure whether it's true or not though...
Minimum quality of life. As a welfare function (mathematically), it would be represented as a min value function.
Under communism, you would find the least private ownership.
Totalitarian would describe a government that controls everything. COMMUNISM
Karl Marx predicted that the working class, or proletariat, would eventually rise up in a revolution against the capitalist system, overthrow the ruling class, and establish a classless society where the means of production are collectively owned.
